1936 was a good year.
Bill: So I have Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? on my Mac, from like 1996.
Me: You know how to win a girl's heart. Can we play it pleaassseeeee?!
Bill: Okay, but it's really hard to answer the questions without an almanac and an encyclopedia.
Me: Okay, okay, just tell me the question.
Bill: In what year was the Golden Gate Bridge built in?
Me: Uhhhhh just Wikipedia it.
Bill: We don't get wireless down here. I'm going to say 1950.
Game: WRONG!
Me: 1950? That's way too late. I'm thinking...19...30...6.
Bill: 1936?
Me: Yeah, try that.
Bill: WOAH! You got it.
Me: No shit?!
Bill: High five!
[I later Wikipedia-ed it and found out that construction began in 1933 and was completed in April 1937, so I think the game would have allowed anywhere between 1933-1937, making my guess seem less awesome. Oh well, I still got it.]

Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride
Fatima: I don't understand people who "stop at third." It's like, you've gotten so far already, so why stop?
Me: What I don't understand is why it's not considered a bad thing, I mean, you're quitting before you finish a project...you're giving up! My parents always told me that quitters are losers.
